Honest Chocolat, based in Auckland, is owned and operated by talented artisans Nico & Emily Bonnaud. Nico has an impressive CV as a pastry chef including, training alongside Pierre Gagnaire, heading a team of 11 chefs at Sketch, London (2 Michelin Stars) and working with Relais and Chateaux restaurants in the USA. Inspired to move to New Zealand because of his love of rugby, he has worked at Kauri Cliffs and The Sugar Club, Sky City. Honest Chocolat is as the name suggests; it contains very few ingredients and definitely no enhancers, preservatives, or additives. Nico uses Original Beans organic chocolate to create flavoured bars and chocolate bonbons with impressive skill.
